Weight loss: Flat tummy water recipe

  • In order to lose weight it is recommended to eat and drink more of the following:
  • Cucumbers:
  • They are low in calories, act as a diuretic, high in dietary in fiber, and help keep the body alkaline. Cucumbers are a perfect weight loss food.
  • Ginger:
  •  A study from the Institute for Human Nutrition at Columbia University showed that when participants drank a hot beverage with ginger, they felt more full and had less chance of overeating.
  • Lemon:
  • They are high in pectin fiber, which helps suppress food cravings. It also helps the body eliminate waste products by cleansing and detoxifying it. Lemons are alkaline forming and will aid with weight loss.
  • Mint:
  • You may not have thought of mint as an appetite suppressant, but it is. Not only will it give the water a refreshing flavor it will stop food cravings too.
  • Water:
  • Water is life. It keeps the body hydrated, which is important because dehydration can slow down the fat burning process. It lubricates joints and muscles during exercise and helps the blood supply oxygen to muscles. Water also helps feel full during meals, so we don’t overeat.
  • Flat tummy water recipe:
  • In a BPA-free pitcher or mason jar, add the following:
  • 6 cups of filtered water
  • 1 tbsp of grated ginger
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1/2 cup of mint leaves
  • Let the mixture infuse overnight
  • Drink it all the next day and enjoy!
  • If you don’t finish it all, please keep it refrigerated.
  • Make sure ingredients are organic and the water is filtered.
  • If you can’t find fresh ginger, you can also use organic ginger root powder.
  • Use 1 Tbsp.
  • TIP: You can do this every other day for 1 week. This is safe and very hydrating too.

  4. I started this on Monday. I have lost 2 lbs. I drank the entire pitcher in one day. I made new mix and repeating every other day. I am eating right and avoiding fast food. I feel lighter and not bloated.

  17. I don’t know why everyone keeps asking the same questions over and over, but why if its safe do you only use it for one week and thats it? You never do it again another words? Why can’t you do it every other week? or once a month?

  18. With the Flat Tummy Water, can you reuse the ingridents and just add additional filtered water and if so how many times can you reuse? I would think at least 2 times you could fill it up so two days worth.

  26. OK…I have read all comments and the one question that has been asked several times is “Does it really work”. I do not see a straight answer, its either a yes or no. We know to use orgnanic products. So this question goes to anyone who has actually tried it, I would like to know if it really works.

      This will work but you need to remove processed foods and refined sugars form your diet. Exercise is highly recommend.
      This is not a miracle cure and you need to use common sense :-)

    • Yes it works! Although my version is a bit different, I use cucumber, mint, lemon and lime and just sip it all day. I lost 2 and1/2 lbs last week. I also noticed that I feel warmer after drinking it and better in general.
