Sinus Reliever

Sinus infection, also called acute sinusitis, causes inflammation and swelling around the cavities in your nasal passages. This hinders nasal drainage, causing mucus to build up.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an estimated 29.8 million adults were diagnosed with sinusitis in 2010. Antibiotics such as Amoxicillin are usually prescribed for sinus infections.

A study from Washington University in St. Louis showed that some antibiotics may be ineffective at treating sinusitis.

Try this alternative to antibiotics and test this potent natural healing remedy.

Apple cider vinegar:(ACV)

  • This fermented vinegar has been used for years as an effective sinus infection treatment for years because of his anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties.

Cayenne pepper: 

  • This spice helps clear sinuses from mucus because of its hot ingredient called capsaicin.

Garlic:

  • Often called nature’s potent medicine, garlic is widely used to treat and prevent colds and flu that often come with cough symptoms.
  • A study done in the UK suggests that participants who took garlic supplements were “less likely to get a cold and recovered faster if infected.”
  • Sinus symptoms are often a result of cold and flu.

Lemon juice: Vitamin C is very well known as an immune boosting antioxidant, and lemon juice provides plenty of it.

  • A strong immune system can help fight sinus infections.

Raw honey:

  • A study by Canadian researchers at the University of Ottawa showed that honey is effective in killing the bacteria that causes chronic sinusitis. Honey is also effective in relieving cough and trouble sleeping which may be associated with sinus problems.

Turmeric: 

  • Often called the “indian gold”, turmeric has potent antiviral, antibacterial, and antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Adding more turmeric to your diet can help treat sinus infection from within.

Mix the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1 tablespoon of raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Make sure ingredients are organic.
