Hypothyroid drink

  • Hypothyroidism happens when the thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough thyroid hormone. The disease affects both sexes, but is most common in women over age 50. The thyroid gland helps regulate the metabolism. Low thyroid levels cause the body to slow down and affect everything from appetite to body temperature. Left untreated, hypothyroidism can cause serious health complications.
  • Eat foods high in B-vitamins and iron, such as whole grains (if no allergy), and sea vegetables such as kelp and nori.
  • Increase your intake of foods that are rich in Vitamin A such as carrots, squash and eggs.
  • The general rule is to eat fresh and organic foods high in antioxidants (such as blueberries, cherries, beets and tomatoes) and vegetables rich in Vitamin A.
  • Avoid foods that interfere with thyroid function such as  broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, kale, spinach, turnips, soybeans, peanuts, linseed, pine nuts, millet, cassava, and mustard greens.
  • Try this healing juice to help you with hypothyroidism.

  2. Hello, I am currently Breastfeeding and have a thyroid issue. If I use this juice to detox my thyroid should I just gradually ease into it a little at a time- 1/4 the amount the first few days, then 1/2 the juice, etc or what would you recommend?

    • Hi Ali,
You need to talk to your health practitioner about this since you are breastfeeding.Starting gradually makes sense, but again we cannot recommend this for you until you talk to a health expert. Hope this helps.

  4. Always consult with you physician but I was told for hypothyroidism, you can eat those veggies just not in the raw form. And if you do consume them in a raw form is should be very minimal.

  5. How long does one stay off those foods listed. That’s quite a list and they’re all foods packed with nutrition. Personally, I hate to eliminate those vegetables out of my diet.

  10. I received a radioactive pill 23 years ago to kill my thyroid
Does this work, even though mine is totally dead?
Is it in place of the synthroid?

    • Hi Roxanne,
This a natural drink and it will not hurt you. If your thyroid is dead, we don’t think it will do anything at this point. This drink is not meant to replace any medication. Please talk to your health practitioner before changing your diet. Thanks for being part of our community.
