Homemade rose water

Give your skin a glass of water and make your own rose water. Rose water is the hydrosol portion of the distillate of rose petals. It is itself a by-product of the production of rose oil for use in perfume and is used to flavour food, as a component in some cosmetic and medical preparations. Instructions: Place three handfuls of petals into a pot Pour water over the rose petals Cover the pot and place it over low heat. Let it simmer until half the water is left (about 15 minutes). The earth rejoiced: Earth Day San Francisco 2013

Earth Day San Francisco (EDSF) took place on Saturday, April 2o at the Civic Center Plaza and drew thousands eager to have eco-conscious and healthy fun. The event celebrated the anniversary of the birth of the environmental movement started by Senator Gaylord Nelson in the 1970s and the formation of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Producer of the festival is Douglas Kolberg, Principal of Green Zone Productions (GZP). “ We are thrilled to see so many people celebrating Earth Day with us,” states Kolberg. This year EDSF provided education, a lot of entertainment and resources on how to lead a Greener life.
